Ing. Olivier Mariette

Managing Director

Committed to Met-Flow since 1999 first as a young engineer, I have always challenged ourselves to innovate both our products and our mode of operation, to better address the needs of our customers.

Today, as a fervent believer in the power of the community, I will do my utmost to create links within our group of users, to help science and knowledge to progress more efficiently to face the new challenges of our time.

Dr. Albrecht Lindner

Technical Director

I joined Met-Flow in summer 2020 after having worked in both academia and industry for over a decade.

My objective at Met-Flow is to develop state-of-the-art technology that has a positive impact on our society and the environment.

Measuring and understanding phenomena in fluid dynamics is crucial for clean water, renewable energy, industrial processes and much more.

Prof. Takeda & Prof. Tasaka

Reference UVP users

Prof. Yasushi Takeda (on the left) and prof. Yuji Tasaka (on the right) are two of our Japanese reference users.

Prof. Takeda pioneered UVP technique in scientific research bringing his expertise to Met-Flow from the early 90ies

Prof. Tasaka masters UVP use in a wide range of applications, as well as developing new UVP methodology.

Met-Flow is a pioneer in the field of Ultrasonic Velocity Profiling (UVP) technology, developing and marketing ground-breaking instrumentation and software since its foundation in Switzerland in 1990.

Since then, we have released several versions of our Ultrasonic Velocity Profiler and analysis software for advanced data acquisition and processing. Our long time “made in Switzerland” expertise enables us to develop products that are innovative, accurate, robust and reliable. Some of them are still in use two decades after their installation.

Our Values and Vision

At Met-Flow we are committed to develop and promote the use of our technology to improve the wellbeing of the society and preserve our planet’s environment. We strive to focus on:

  • Clean and accessible water worldwide
  • Monitoring of natural resources
  • Management of critical climatic phenomena
  • Carbon footprint reduction
  • Energy consumption reduction and optimization
  • Monitoring of natural resources
  • Renewable energies
Our Mission

Development and worldwide marketing of ultrasonic instrumentation for liquid flows measurement, in both scientific and industrial fields, supporting research and development activities to stimulate the creation and sharing of new knowledge.
